According to the rumor mill, the 23-year-old Def Jam recording artist just wrapped her first ever U.S. Vogue cover shoot with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Well, however you may feel about the Grammy-award winning island gyal, landing the cover of VOGUE is HUGE! Big! Not a lot of women, especially women of color, get the opportunity to have their faces inside the magazine, much less grace the cover. Academy-Award winning actress, Halle Berry earned the coveted prize and landed the cover for the magazine’s highly anticipated and respected September issue.
No one knows what the theme for the cover is, or when the magazine will be available on newsstands, but we can all rest assured, if the rumor is true, RiRi will look fab! I’ll bet my 401-K, she’ll be plugging her very new scent Reb’L Fleur. (Just a hunch)
Hopefully the generated buzz about Rihanna’s Vogue cover will take some press off her legal woes. The singer is being sued for $1 million by photographer David LaChapelle because he claims, she ripped off his copy written art work for her controversial S&M video, which by the way has been banned in about 10 countries around the world.
Hey, another day, another lawsuit. But aside from Ri having to go holla at Judge Judy, how do you feel about the singer’s possible Vogue cover? Is it something to write home about or are you like “on to the next one”?
