Is It okay to allow your daughter to put in a sew-in weave?

With prom and graduation season behind us, beauty salons around the nation were packed trying to make your little girl-who now think she’s probably a big girl- look her best.

But just because she thought she was grown, doesn’t mean she could actually look the part…or does it?

While in the salon, I saw a few mothers pay top dollar to allow their daughter put in a sew-in weave. Now, call me old-fashioned, but I was well into my 20s before I even started wearing red nail polish, but a sew-in weave?!

What do you think? Do you think it’s okay on special occasions to allow your daughter to put in a track or two? Or do you think if the sew-in is appropriately done, than it’s okay?

What about the psychological effects? Yes, your daughter might be excited that her hair is blowing in the wind, and maybe all the boys are noticing her, but what happens when it’s time to take the sew-in out? Does the weave do more harm than good?

Tell us what you think.
